Postby BlackAce » Wed Dec 25, 2013 4:40 pm

So, If I wanted to add a switch sound from the NGX into a different plane that doesn't have a switch sound, can I do it, and how can I do it?

To the best of my limited knowledge, the switch sound is in the gauge. I assume you could add it if you know xml programming.

If all of your gauges are located in the Gauge folder than all you have to do is to put the switch in the airplane you want and than you have to add the needed line in the aircraft cfg file of the new aircraft. The easy way to do this is by using a program called FSPANEL Studio.
This program makes adding gauges child's play. Here is the link http://www.fspanelstudio.com/
With this program you see the panel just as you would in FSX Or FS9 since it works with both versions. And all you have to do is click on the add gauge icon select the gauge you want to add than drag it to where you want it at and it will put it there. You do not need to know the coordinates or anything else since you are working with the actual panel you see it just as you would in the sim.
If you do not have this program adding any gauge to any aircraft can be tricky as you have to know the coordinates in order to place the gauge in the panel and this is not a easy task it is usually trial and error.
Even if you copy the necessary line from another aircraft it may put the gauge right in the middle of another gauge as every panel is different unless you are using the same panel in more than one aircraft.
