Default C172 2D Cockpit frame rate issue.

Just completed the same flight in FS9 with no stutters, no drops in frame rates (locked at 26), great graphics and lots of AI aircraft to keep me company. Also some great grass textures at Headcorn which I seem to remember you recommended back in the day.

I never can figure out why some of you happy FS 2004'ers drift over to the Dark Side (FSX), and inflict so much heartbreak, misery, desperation, and endless sleepless nights upon yourselves...

Zap, locking the frames at 26 is ok, i got mine locked at 30...............everything works fine, smooth even with some settings at full.............

Just a quick update. It appears that as long as I start the flight in 2D cockpit view and don't change to any other view throughout the flight my frame rates stay great but if I change views and then return to 2D the frame rates crash.
Really annoying but I can live with it.
