can I take my jetsfrom my old fsx to my new fsx game

Postby bombardier » Fri Jul 06, 2012 4:52 pm

hello to everyone:

I have stated this before but just humor me  for now; ok?? thanks

I got a question, on my old computer I got my old jets I like and I want to put them onto my fsx gold edition on w7 ( oh by the way the box does not say anything working in w7 says windows vista and xp but not w7) how would i do that on a flash drive or a external hard drive then to the desk top. what about missing dependencies that I can not get if any how can i get them back I know i will some dependencies. yeah I shuld know I play trainz simulator 06 and any thing saved on a flash drive or external hard drive and come back later and to retreive it you will have missing dependencies looking is just half of the battle. so   I'll put the gold edidtion on w7 and see what happens even though it does not say w7.or unless someone can say  that it will work in w7.  just humor me on this  one ok.

might need to ask a favor of getting my jets onto my new flight simulator on a different computer. I suppose w7 is not going to be that easy to set up the jets into the game but I will give a shot. xp was a little easier to move plane files around within the fsx game folder system.

I have Win7 and have no problems moving/copying/pasting add-on aircraft.

Just copy the Simobjects folder to your desktop or documents, then install FSX Gold. Paste the Simobjects folder back where it was after you have installed FSX Gold.

P.S. (Hagar, your probably going to say he shouldn't do this but it does work.)

I'll put the gold edidtion on w7 and see what happens even though it does not say w7.or unless someone can say  that it will work in w7.

I don't mean to sound evil but you don't seem to be listening.

Three different people have told you it works in Windows 7 & I can assure you that it does.

Aside from the Simobject/aircraft, don't forget your Gauges, Effects, and Sound folders too.

Its allways a good idea to save any downloads, ex on a slave, and then install 'em due to read me files. Then you wont forget anything.  ;)
