Hello Chums.... :)...!

FS 2004. Autogen Trees.

For my tree sets I use Gerrish Grey's lovely Autogen tree sets for different seasons... http://www.simviation.com/1/search?subm ... es&x=0&y=0
...but as a frequent flyer in the Southern States (California, etc,), I miss seeing the more common Tropical Palm Trees, etc, which are ever visible in the Coastal areas...(Los Angeles/Florida)

My present Trees are mainly "Northerly" Deciduous Trees, which rarely appear in those areas.

Any ideas where an alternative Autogen Tree Set can be obtained which contains the; "Tropical Trees" sets for different seasons?

Many thanks!

Paul...Bermuda Shorts, straw hat, and Shades!... 8-)...!

I don't know about replacement files, but keep in mind that you would then probably see palm trees in some very odd places...

... ;D... ;D...!

I would replace the most suitable set for the area I visit... ;)..!
They are easy to swap over in FS 2004.

Paul ....I need a few Coconuts, in Los Angeles... ;D...!

We got 'em here, and yeah, in some odd places, like front yards.

All yours.

The Sky Coconuts wont be falling on your head, Apex!

.... ;D... ;D... ;D...!

Its a bit of a shame that the Sim doesn't load the most suitable types of Trees automatically, for the area your are covering...

Pine and Spruce Trees for; "Up North", Deciduous Trees (the default) for the middle bit, and Palm Trees and Cacti for the warmer/hotter places, ....and just Penguins in Antarctica!

Paul...Chased by Tumbleweed!... ;D...!

P.S...do they have articulated Ants in Antarctica? ... ::)..!

I do see palm trees in the FS Miami area, looks like coco palms, I think their stock, but no pine trees.

Pines, here anyway, are an endangered specie, Hurricane Andrew took out a lot of them 20 years ago, then we had a pine beetle problem.  Whatever pines are left are protected, you cannot cut them down, not even to clear a lot to build a house on, unless they are dead.  Our pines have a life span of maybe 50 years.
