Tim Conrad OV-10A Bronco gauges

Hey all, I was trying to unzip the OV-10A pack for FS9 made by Piglet when I encountered a problem with the gauges. Normally gauges are in a subfolder inside the zipped folder so I do not have problems unzipping them. With the OV-10A though, the gauges CAB file is NOT in a sub folder so when I unzip, I lose the gauges. The rest of the unzip proceeds as normal, just no gauges in the end... Is there anyway I can just get the cab file for the gauges from someone? All I need are the gauges, that is it. The rest of the plane works.

I assume you mean this OV-10A. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=OV-10A_V2.zip+&categoryId=&filename=Y

You don't say which method you use to install downloaded aircraft. The gauge you need is in the zipfile --> http://simviation.com/1/preview-popup?fileId=18270

Simply extract it to a Temp folder anywhere on your computer. Open the extracted folder & paste the file named ov-10a.cab into your FS2004\Gauges folder.

That is exactly what I do, but if you look in the zipped folder for the OV-10 you will see the cab file is not in a gauges subfolder, so everytime I unzip the OV-10 main folder to a temp one I lose the cab file.

EDIT: I got it now, used 7zip to unzip it and it kept the gauges cab file. Man that was an irritating little error with such a stupid fix.

Thanks for the help anyways,

Glad you got that sorted. For future reference try the right-click options for whichever extraction utility you use. For 7-zip this is the "Extract to" option. (They all have similar features.) This will extract the files to a folder in your Download folder with the same name as the zipped file.

This is the easiest method I know for extracting downloaded files & I've been using it for well over 10 years.
