Weather Watch...

Postby Fozzer » Sat Jun 16, 2012 6:03 am

One thing I always do before firing up my Flight Sim each day, for a flight around the San Francisco Bay and surrounding areas, is to connect to Kron4 News for the local weather forecast to check on flying conditions...>>>

...looks like it is going to be extremely hot over this weekend, 100*F plus!...so the usual chance of Wildfires exists, and I suspect my little Cessna 150's carburetor and engine will be struggling with the hot, dry, conditions... :o...!
At least the skies will be clear, with no nasty Cumulus storm clouds to catch me out!
...(still keep a wary eye out for them, though!)

I've loaded up the latest Jeppeson Weather into my FS 2004, and I'm ready to go exploring again!

Paul...FS 2004 + FS Nav...Bermuda shorts and Shades... ;D...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Its posts like these that remind me why I got interested in FS.. Now with all the techno wizardry such as FMS, FSNav, proper startup procedure for aircraft that simulate every system, its easy to lose site of what FS is about.
