Real FSX planes will NOT work in FS9, because the model formats are different.
"FSX-compatbile planes" will work, since they are not real FSX planes (no self shadows, no bumpmaps, no VC in separate MDL file etc...), but FS9 planes in fact.

I don't think they invented forward compatibility yet... Probably when we get some time machines running... ;D
