We all have our own favorite places of the sim globe to explore, but what is yours? Obviously our very own Fozzer particularly likes California  ;)

Myself, I like exploring my home state of Michigan and doing some special flights around Oshkosh, WI.

Feel free to share spots of the globe you think are worth exploring.

;D nice one Paul!

...and in between times... ;)...

..another popular destination for a number of us is; New Zealand!
Particularly the North Island. Solo, and Multiplayer using the Inspire Server >>> http://203.114.130.15:81/
A nice, varied landscape (with LOTS of add-on scenery available!).
The South Island is useful for Mountain enthusiasts!
(You just have to get used to the strange sounding location names, and spellings!)... ;)...

Well worth a visit, if only to pick up a succulent New Zealand leg of Lamb for dinner!.... :-*...!
...and the weather is quite nice...Just watch out for Earthquakes!.... :)...!

Paul....FS 2004... 8-)...!

I hang my hat in Miami mostly because I like flying dusk, night or dawn. A few others are Laguardia, LAX and KORD because I like the lights below. My favorite ride is the Beech Baron.  8-)

I usually fly around California, i like it, the large changing geography, but in municipal areas you can find multiple airports to fly to and from. But the best way to explore, is hit a few random letters on the keyboard, and select one of the airports that shows up.

Wherever there's interesting orography.

Andes, Alps, Himalayas, Japan, sometimes (though rarely) north America rocky mountains too... etcetera.

Almost never go where there's only flatland (too many places to list), as I like a challenge. :)

There is excellent photo-scenery on the UK from Visual Flight. Brittany and Normandy are also interesting - and VFR France has some especially nice scenery packages, finely detailed,

In no particular order;
New Zealand
Canada (British Columbia)
Hungary (lived there for 9 years), but if I'm honest it is a little dull.
Switzerland
Russia (at my secret testing base in Siberia somewhere) ;)

Florida because I live here.  I fly out of KFLL - Fort Liquordale.  From there I can go south to Miami and Homestead and the Keys or venture to Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Tallahassee (not much to see in our state capitol as in real life) and Pensacola. The Caribbean ports are east.

I also really like the California coast - San Diego, LAX, Half Moon Bay, SFO and points north.

As most of you already know... ;)... ;).....

I have been, and still am/are, daily touring every nook and cranny of California, from top to bottom, East to West, ever since Looking Glass Studios' "Flight Unlimited II/III" took my fancy way back in 1995, followed by Pro Pilot '99, FS '98, etc...etc... :-*...!
The scenery is so varied, from towering mountains to flat plains, snow in the North to hot sunny beaches in the South, and even Rattle-snake infested deserts. Large inland lakes and rivers suitable for float planes, with the fantastic Interstate Highway I-101 following the beautiful Pacific Coast, and Interstate I-5 tracing a route from Seattle to San Diego, through the Central Plain, Gold Rush areas, and fertile wine and orange orchards!
With its rich, interesting, historical scenery on the way...
....all with the aid of Google Maps, Wikipedia...and my amazing Flight Simulator 2004!

I am fascinated by it all...every single day!

Paul..The Intrepid Aeronautical Explorer Extraordinaire!... 8-)...!

...come fly with me!... ;)...!

I checked out New Zealand earlier this week during a forced homework break, its pretty amazing. Cruised around in the RNZAF P-40 from Iris for a bit.  8-)

I should say FSX fliers are welcome here too  ;)

Paul, if I can survive this hellish week of classes, I will fly with you again! ;)

Washington State is very beautiful with the Silver Wings mod. Spent a half hour scooting around in the Globe Swift around Friday Harbor today.
