Logbook Problem

Postby flipside » Sat Jan 14, 2012 7:07 am

For some reason when I finish a flight and enter the start and end points in the Logbook screen it does not enter the Logbook. The last entry in the logbook is dated 12/29/2011. How can I fix this? What happened is that my computer was on the fritz. I got a new copy of Windows XP from Dell and installed it. I had disconnected the hard drive on which the Flight Simulator 2004 was installed. I wanted to save the aircraft I had.

After managing to mess up my logbook, I have an idea to try. In the FS9.cfg:
[MISC]
COM_RATE=48643
LOG_TIME=1
FOREIGN_TRANSLATOR=0
LOG_FILE=LOGBOOK

When my logbook would not save, the bold line above was on two lines and didn't make any sense. After changing the LOG_FILE= line back to match the above, it is back to saving automatically on exit.

Be sure to make a backup of the fs9.cfg before making any changes to it.
