PROJECT OPENSKY BOEING 737-700 Passenger V1

Postby flapsdown » Sun Dec 11, 2011 4:30 pm

I have downloaded this aircraft, the readme file says -

Install:
Just unzip the file and send the Aircrafts folder to the FS2004 AIRCRAFT FOLDER.
I have unzipped the file to a spare folder and then when it says and send the aircrafts folder to FS2004 AIRCRAFT FOLDER, how? There is no more unzipping to be done. When I just move it to the FS2--4 Aircraft folder, when in the simulator and choose aircraft, it is not showing up there. No sign of it.
Anybody know what I'm doing wrong please?

Hiya Flapsdown, and welcome to Simv!

What's is the name of the folder you're moving into the sim's aircraft folder?

The folder you want to move into the sim's aircraft folder may be inside other folders. Once you've opened the zip file, open all the folders from the archive until you get to the one that's got folders named model, panel, texture, sound...etc. The folder containing THOSE folders is what you want to move into you're sim.
I'm sorry if this is confusing, I know what I want to say, I just don't know how to describe it. :-/

Thanks for your help Groundbound1
the folder that contains the other folders you mention is called B737D. I have placed this in the aircraft folder. But it is not being read. I do not have to put the scenery in the scenery and the textures in the textures etc do I?

If you could, post a link to the download. It'd make much easier. ;)

Hi flapsdown.

In 'create a flight', look in the aircraft selection list for 'Project Opensky' rather then 'Boeing', as this is how Posky traditionally organised their aircraft. If that doesn't work, come back.

Flaps,

The best 737-700 I've found is Moach's 737 Experience found here:

It has an excellent VC & several repaints. It is a real pleasure to fly.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Dave: I did the FDE for the 737 Experience!
