:)good morning, id like to know how can one start at the gates in fs04 ?  :-/when you program a flight, fs asks you is you whant to be taken to the airport, if yes, you always start at the runway. if no, the flight is canceld.
in some adventures, you can start at the gates in a cold and dark aircraft, but not when you program the flight. say you go from miami to jfk, it takes you to the runway.
im not a pc genius so if your help can be very clear id be gratefull because i still can find the problem in adon sceneries and some adventures that dont show up so i have to delet them not to creat overload in fs04..
many thks for you advices.... ;D

Hi Milesg, when you select the airport of your choice, are you not seeing an option to select starting position such as heavy ramp, cargo ramp, or the runway?

It's a drop down box at the lower left.  It defaults to "Active Runway", but you can choose other starting locations if you wish.

When I plan a flight, I place the desired aircraft at the gate I want and then go to flight planning. At the end, when it asked if you wish to go to the specified airport, answer no and your plane stays where you put it.  ;)
Also, my default flight is at a gate dark. From there you can change aircraft, airports, time & season and weather and your new flight starts dark. :)
