Can't save repaint

Hi all,

I've been trying to save a repaint from HJG, and when I go to save the aircraft.cfg file, it comes up with "Cannot create the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS9\Aircraft\HJG L-1011 yadda yadda yadda... aircraft.cfg file. Make sure the path and file names are correct"

I made sure they are matching, and it still comes up with this message. I'm running Windows Vista on an older system. I've never seen this before, if anyone could help, I'd sure appreciate it!

Thanks,
-J

Are you sure it's not User Account Control?

The file link is rather long but make sure the file you're saving isn't tagged 'read only' (open its properties window)...
also make sure that you don't have the same file opened twice.

You get this message when the Vista Security Center is preventing the creation of new folders. It does this for your protection but it's a P.I.A. for flight simmers who download add-ons.
Go to the security center and click the 'disable UAC' (User Account Control) button. You can re-enable the UAC after the download if you wish, if you leave it off you get nagging messages each time you log on to Vista.

An alternate method is to copy and paste the aircraft.cfg file to the desktop, make your changes, save your changes, the copy and paste it back into the aircraft's folder.  To me, that's easier than fiddling with UAC's.

Have you asked over at HJG?
