I was wondering if FS9 supports added view by adding camera definitions to the aircraft cfg file?  I recently found the camera definitions that I used in FSX and added them to the cfg file to the default C172 in FS9.  I booted up the sim but the views are the same...am I doing something wrong or is this not supported?  Thank you in advance for your help. 8-)

If I remember correctly, in FS9 you cannot do that until you use some addon camera handling program. I don't have the name in mind anymore but there was a very famous payware one, so popular that MS decided to include in FSX the possibility to define new cameras in the CFG of the plane.

Certainly you can get the views with the correct software

FS9 does not support 'camera definitions'. There are add-ons that do.

FS-Recorder-freeware-http://www.fs-recorder.net/-an enhanced replacement for the default 'Flight Video' recorder. You can also define additional cameras in VC, Tower and Spot views, including fly-by.

Thanx for the info guys...I will checkout the links.  Is there another way to move the aircraft out of the center of the shot when in spot view?

Give FS-Recorder a try.

When using an FS-Recorder spot camera the 'move eyepoint' keys that you use in the default VC become active. You can position the camera any where at any angle.

When used with the FS-Recorder playback, it's a great way to capture that perfect screen shot.
