FS 2004- Disk 4 @ Start-up

Postby coalpedlar » Sat Jul 30, 2011 4:55 pm

Is there any way to run FS 2004 to avoid putting Disk 4 into the CD Drive?  What a P.I.T.A......

Make sure you get the right one, there are 2 versions.

no-cd for FS9 or FS9.0-which is FS2004 as it installs off the cd's.

no-cd for FS9.1-For FS2004 if you have installed the 'FS2004 update v9.1' patch.
At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

I commend the powers that be for their adult attitude regarding this file, unlike other sites that still treat this file as some sort of plague.

Great point.

It's also important to note that later issues of FS9 were sold pre-patched.

You can check the properties of FS9.exe to verify.

cheers,
Joe

Here: http://www.ceaero.com.br/dow_outr.shtml you can find them both. :)

Hope I'm not breaking any rule linking that site... but after all, a link for said no-CD patch has already passed without censure... :-/
There is no such a thing as overkill. Only unworthy targets.
