Hey All :)
Have a question....I noticed that when I go to fill up at the fuel pump, All the tanks in the plane don't fill up.

Sounds like the aircraft is modelled to only have main tanks, but your panel you are using is designed for more.  Go to the fuel / payload menu and see how many tanks the aircraft has.

I'll check that out.

inside your aircraft.cfg is the [fuel] section.

[fuel]
Center1= 0.000, 0.000, 0.000, 2440.000, 0.000
LeftMain= 0.000, -2.000, 0.000, 280.000, 0.000
RightMain= 0.000, 2.000, 0.000, 280.000, 0.000
LeftAux= 0.000, -4.000, 0.000, 140.000, 0.000
RightAux= 0.000, 4.000, 0.000, 140.000, 0.000

ADD LeftAux= and RightAux= to add wing tip tanks to your plane. the 2nd number is how far from the centerline of the craft do you want the tank, and the 4th number is the number of gallons it can hold.

CAUTION: by adding more gas to your plane, you are adding more weight. which will mean that you will need a longer runway to get off the ground, that is if you even can.  You will need to know the MAXIMUM GALLONS for your craft, and then divide that number among your fuel tanks so that you stay the same weight.

The only problem with this, is now your fuel is spread out and not all tanks will be at 100% .... but you will have 100% of allowable fuel on board based on the GALLONS you are allowed to have.

you can raise the MAXIMUM WEIGHT of the whole craft to allow all tanks to go to 100%, but this would be unrealistic.   If you want that option as well, let me know.

That is unless someone else an idea of how to add more fuel without going overweight .. and without changing the MAX WEIGHT of the craft to a higher number.

When playing with fuel tanks, don't you also have to adjust the weight and balance of the aircraft?  The position of those tanks can affect the flight dynamics, can't it?

yes. look at the [fuel] section.  what ever you have listed for CENTER, LEFTMAIN, RIGHT MAIN....

[fuel]
Center1= 0.000, 0.000, 0.000, 2440.000, 0.000
LeftMain= 0.000, -2.000, 0.000, 280.000, 0.000
RightMain= 0.000, 2.000, 0.000, 280.000, 0.000
LeftAux= 0.000, -4.000, 0.000, 140.000, 0.000
RightAux= 0.000, 4.000, 0.000, 140.000, 0.000
                          ^
        Position left and right of center line, as I said before in my last post.  TIP TANKS ARE MORE + AND - THAN CENTER=0.000 AND LEFT AND RIGHT MAIN.

Center Gallons = 2440.000
Left Main Gallons = 280
Right Main Gallons = 280
Left and Right Auxillary = 140 EACH

total Gallons = 3280

You will need to adjust your MAX WEIGHT to compensate for the EXTRA FUEL (280 from the Aux tanks).... all this will do is tell the Fuel and Payload Manager that you are NOT overweight with fuel, and that you are now allowed to carry that much more weight without hurting the Handling Characteristics / Flight Dynamics.

I did this to the F14D Rev 3, and it flys like a dream with the extra fuel.   .... IN FACT!!! with the fuel burn NOT being touched, and you added more fuel, you can stay in the air longer and not burn as much gas.
