Is there a way to make Flight Simulator 2004 support multi-stop Flights? I would really like to fly a GA aircraft across country or across an ocean. But I would run into fuel problems.

What you need is a program called FSNavigator. Used to be payware but is no longer supported by the developer. There is a demoversion available here at Simviation.

And be aware that the Demo version will cease to work after 30 uses.

A workaround is to create a new flight plan for each leg of your journey - that's what I do.

You can plan flights as long as you want, and with as many stops as you want, with FS9.

The kneeboard Nav Log will indicate estimated fuel usage for each segment, so your "fuel problems" can be solved by simply knowing how much fuel you have aboard so you can make sure you do not run out of fuel between intended stops. Also make sure beforehand that there is fuel available at those airports.

...or just forget all that and select "Unlimited Fuel" in the Aircraft Realism options.

flipside, there's actually a very simple way. Set the aeroplane up at your home airport and then make a flightplan from your home airport to your ultimate destination airport. Then, depending on the range of the aeroplane you're using, drag the courseline to suitable 'stopping-point' airports along the route.

Then save the whole thing as "Plan1' or something.

After that, use 'Plan1' as a reference, make individual flightplans for each leg of the journey, and fly the trip, saving each flight individually after you've parked. Then refer back to your 'Plan1' file to set up the next one.

As to 'fuel problems,' as rottydaddy implies, you should fly the odd 'training flight' first to find out what sort of range the aeroplane you're using can achieve. Then set up the 'leg lengths' in 'Plan1' as appropriate.

I happen to be addicted to round-world flights in totally-unsuitable aeroplanes - I'm currently 'flying' round the world in a 1940s Hawker Hurricane! A while back I wrote up the best way of approaching that sort of thing and Simviation kindly incorporated it in their 'Adventures' section.
