Nav Lights & Beacons

Does anybody make a set of Nav lights than can be seen ? I'm pretty unhappy with the offering on FS9. I can zoom-in and get right on the wing

Been there, done that! ;D

Give Nick's Light Fix a try.

I used them until I started making my own light effects. Very nice.

I concur ;)
While you're at it, also get his vortez and dust effects. Search for Nick Needham.

There are probably hundreds of different aircraft light effects out there freely available, just a matter of finding the ones you really like.

My personal favs are the nav lights that come with Iris' aircraft.

i believe that some have used the FSX 3D 'Shockwave' Lights in FS9 and they work, but I have yet to try them so i do not know.  If you want to try them make sure you back up the originals just in case they dont work.

Where can I get the fx files?

The link says, Needed files: http://www.simviation.com/simviation/st ... =69&page=2 but that page doesn't have any fx files, unless they are buried in the boat file.

According to the Tutorial, this is the 'extra" package which you need to download (presumably has the light effect files referred to in the Tutorial):

ftp://www.simviation.com/dynamic/sirgtxv2.zip

The link in the file description of the Tutorial is incorrect but the link in the Tutorial itself appears to be the correct one.

BTW - The "Shockwave" lights mentioned in an earlier post are a Payware product.

Thanks.  My FS machine is shut down for the night so I'll have to try to make sense of this later.
