How do I remove a shadow?

I've excluded a small ground radar from EGHH & the object has gone but I can see the shadow with the dish revolving still.   How do I get rid of the shadow?

How did you exclude the object?

Was it a stock FS9 object or something placed by an addon?

If it was a default library object, which one, there are 2 on that field?

If it was placed by an addon, which one and where did you get it?

What kind of surface are you seeing the shadow on?

cheers,
Joe

There's some setting that allows you to put in/take out shadows of the airplane on the ground or on itself, plus one other option I can't remember right now. I think those settings are in Realism, but I'm not sure. Maybe there is a check box there for shadows caused by fixed objects...

I'm returning it 1939-45 & I removed everything with EXCBuilder so it would be default.

Did you "exclude all" or something more specific?

Did you make one large exclude for the complete airport, or several small ones?

Have you ever tried ADE9X?

I am at a loss why it isn't working, I tried it and it worked fine.

Maybe move your exclude out of an active scenery folder and try again.

Is it possible that you have 2 excludes covering the same item?

If you made an exclude specifically for this item, try making one a bit bigger for it.

Let me know how it goes, you've peaked my curiosity now.

cheers,
Joe

I just tried it - made the exclude large enough to be sure I was capturing the shadow area also.

Worked like a charm - used exclude "all objects".

And was using ExcBuilder.

I can send you a copy of my file if you wish.

Right - I've done it but had no idea the shadow had to be included as well!  Many thanks.
