Adding a runway.

I've added a 3rd minor runway to an airport.  It shows on top of the other two.  Is there a way of getting it appear underneath?   :-?

I think this is in the wrong section.

But I'm fairly sure you can't get it to do what you're asking.  I think that the first runway added is always the one underneath, and any cross runways added after that will only show up on top. You could possibly delete the original runways and then add the exact duplicate version back in.

Yes - I made a copy of the original just in case I have to delete & start again.  I think I'll take screenshots of the runway settings so all I have to do is reinsert them as I go along.... ::)....Thanks.

I've started from scratch & added the small 13/31 runway first, then 35/17, & the major runway 26/8 last but the other two always appear on top.    I thought the last added was always  the one on top?    :-?

Huh, that's the way I remember it.  Been awhile since I made a crossed runway setup.  Check things like the stock JFK and other large airports to see how they do things.

I am assuming this is an issue because you are using different surfaces for your runways?

This is from the Afcad readme...
[quote]Where two or more links meet FS will automatically create a junction with fillets (curved joins) and curved markings. If the links have different surface types then FS will choose the surface type of one of the links to use for the junction surface. FS will take the surface type of the first link counter-clockwise from 270 degrees (true) as the surface type for the junction.

first off, what program are you using? is it AFCAD?

if it is, are your RUNWAY TAXI NODES connected to each other? (see pic - taken in AFCAD 2.2.1 - KCHS stock)

this might be a possible reason why your runways are not showing properly.

I am VERY HIGHLY proficient in AFCAD and if you would like, I could take a look at your airport and possibly fix / or create any airport anywhere that you might like.   I have already made 3 airports (KDVI, 25LS - although it is missing some scenery objects.... and 30LS which is not yet uploaded) [KDVI and 25LS are uploaded to this server]

Good morning.

I should have said I'm running Golden Wings3 - a modified FS9.
The runways are asphalt & I'm using continuos runway taxi links.  It doesn't seem to matter whether they have links added or not.  The major 6000ft runway appears underneath & not on top.

I'm using Afcad2.2.1.....I've just checked an airforce base I made with cruciform runways.  The N/S appears underneath in Afcad but in FS it's on top......

The airfield I was initially questioning now has just the E/W 6000 r/way with a link - I deleted the other, just to see what happens, but it's on top in Afcad but underneath is FS!!

Thanks for your offer to make an airport.  I've made about 12 now in a series of WW2 RAF/US bases for my GW3 setup.  I use continuous runway links so there shouldn't be a problem.  It's just that I notice now that I can't get the major E/W to appear on top.
I can send you my afcad file if you want to look at it & PM me your email address.....
Thanks.
