I would still run the WINXP optimization that is outlined in the FSX forum no matter what the game / or system. You will free up a lot of space.
As for your Golden Wings programs... I do not have these, nor have I ever heard of them. But a few simple standardized questions may apply. Have you downloaded anything for it in the past 3 days? If you did, try removing it and going back to default. Something has corrupted that 'game', or you installed something that caused it to become too big and require too much memory.Another suggestion that I could offer, as a system cleaning utility, is CCleaner (
www.ccleaner.com). You can clean your HDD of unneeded files (cookies, temp internet files, etc) run ADD/REMOVE programs with it, even SAFELY clean your system registry with it. -- every time I run it, I clean out at least 200MB of crap that gets built up over time. [downfall=if you have stored passwords on websites, you will have to type them back in as the cookies will be deleted]
