Thx guys
After reading all these threads, I can declare that it is official now. The number of sceneries that FS9 can handle is 1099.

I understand that FS9 should have no limitations on number of add on sceneries but however after having 1100 add ons, I just found out yesterday that FS9 refuse to allow me to add any additional sceneries
That seems an awful lot of addons. If it's all scenery I'm surprised that Scenery.cfg can handle it.

Is there anyway to fix this via amendments to the config file?
The first thing I would do is to go through your Scenery Library & decide if you really need it all. Delete any 3rd party scenery you don't use.
The alternative would be to combine several scenery areas into one. This would need doing carefully & systematically.
Well Hagar I have over 1100 sceneries (everything aerosoft, cloud9, overland, tropicalsim etc. plus all the Russian, Thai, France, Italy, Argentina flightsim sites' sceneries) and that is just sceneries. Over 100GB. I have placed all these on a seperate 1.5TB harddrive so there are plenty of space left. I think this is dragging the performance of my computer. Probably have to upgarde the processor to I7-960. My computer has 6GB of D2 ram and 3TB of Harddisk space with a fast ATI video card with 1GB but currently running on a AMD Pheomn process. Now I cannot increase the sim rate by more than 4x which is also annoying.
I guess I have to consolidate all the Russian, Japanese and French airports into just big folders call Russian airports, Japanese airports and French airports. However, doing these will definitely run into problems with texture files with the same names which means some objects are no longer going to have textures.
Welcome any suggestions
