Project Opensky wheels

What is the deal with Project Opensky B747 wheels? The nose wheel is turned left and the main gear is half into the tarmac in spot view when standing still.

Well, that solved the problem with the main gear and got the wheels to stay on top of the tarmac. But the nose gear is still turned at a goofy angle. :-?

You will need to be more specific. Which version of the Posky 747 do you have & where did you download it?

I must point out that I have no connection with Posky.

Hagar's right, and there are more than one gauge that control the gear on many of those models. In fact in the panel.cfg for the Posky 747-400F model (the one I have is the UPS repaint) the original panel.cfg has a total of 15 "gauges" that control various animations for the gear, wing flex, etc.

Open the original panel.cfg and look for a gauge called:

"Posky744!PkyNosegearsteering"

That is likely the culprit.

I'm sorry, I should have specified. I just meant make sure it's there. Did you put the gauges in your sim's gauges folder? (Forgive me for asking, but many people tend to overlook this step.)

Most of the Posky aircraft come with the gauges in the panel folder. They will work fine from there. Look for a folder named Posky744 in the Panel folder of your 747. This is the XML gauge that contains all the gauges for the gear animation. It's no use having those entries in Panel.cfg if you haven't got this folder installed - either in the panel folder of your 747 or the FS9\Gauges folder.

Been there, done that. What I ended up doing was go into the Posky744 file and found that the nose gear steering file was spelled wrong. It was labeled nosegearsteerling. I deleted the "l" and that fixed it!

It might be spelled incorrectly but that is the name of the gauge. If you intend using more versions of the 747 it would have been better to change the Panel.cfg entry to suit.
