As far as the jet request goes, try Jon Murchison's BAE 146 series. A search here or anywhere else will come up with a few results.

Most of the subset forums here have tutorials of various sorts located in the top portion (stickies) of that section .
The repainting forum doesn't have stickies, but there is still plenty of info to browse through on the pages:

For the water landing effect, the file you locate will be an effects (.fx) file, possibly with a texture file as well. The .fx file simply goes into your FS2004/effects folder and the texture file goes into the texture folder that is within that effects folder.
There are a number of water landing effects available, so all I can say is to try searching for the keywords "water landing", "splash", "waves", etc.

TerryB,

Welcome back.

You only THOUGHT you shook this addiction.  ;)

For the 4 engine overhead wing... search Jon Murchison BAe 146-200 and 146-300.  STOL regional jet.  NICE setup.

From your posting it sounds like you used to use fs2002 and now you are migerting to fs2004.  IS that correct?  If so..... go back through the countless older pages of postings.  There is a wealth of tips / tricks/ and other knowledge already sitting in this forum section.  Look at the stickies at the top of the forum too.

best,

...............john

LOL Nope, never thought for a moment I kicked the addiction ;).  Not migration to, (and yes I have been here since FS98 and every step along the way including FX.  But I went one way and my PC went another (again doesnt need to be talked about here)  Finally getting around to being able to fly again and loving it.   This means relearning a LOT.  Unfortunately my payware is gone as my binder where I printed the tutorials and scribbled noted in the columns ;).  Plus a couple of CDs worth of planes.  But we restart, we rebuild (and we find others that understand the addiction ;)

See you in the skies
Terry
