Help Help Help.

Recently I have rediscovered my Fs2004. This time I startede using ILS landings and the went well for som time. Suddenly something is very Wrong. The Ils system takes me no longer to the begining of the airfield but all other places.

I Have tryed to redownload the progam several times, but the problem is still there. Have any of you any suggestions?

Hi,

Make sure the NAV/GPS switch is turned to NAV before trying to intercept the ILS localizer.

Hope this helps,

Make sure you have dialled in the correct ILS frequency for the airfield you are aiming for, and not a local VOR, etc, and make sure you are aiming for the correct end of the runway when you press the "APR" button!
(avoid using Back-course "REV" during the approach, it will lead you astray!).

Dialling, and listening to "ATIS" before reaching the Airfield, will inform you of the details necessary for landing; weather conditions, correct runway heading, etc....

..and make sure you are at the correct height to pick up the glide-path signal....2,000 feet or less....

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Nav... 8-)...!

P.S. Are you fully conversant with Radio Navigation, using the Default Cessna 172 Trainer with its Bendix-King Radio Stack?

I'll enter in the radio signal, switch to nav, activate nav1 once i get the message from ATC, etc., but I've only managed to do it successfully once. And that was in a Learjet.

Every time I try it in a bigger plane, it will intercept and the AP starts doing its thing, then flies itself right into a mountain. Every. Single. Time.

I think my Boeings are all suicidal.

Take the Flying Lessons in FS 2004 using the Cessna 172 Trainer fitted with the Bendix-King Radio Stack, and perfect your Radio Navigation skills in the Trainers first, before entering the complex world of Jumbo-Jets!

Its what real Pilots have to do...;)...!
