Evening fellow fltsim pilots, I need some help in optimizing my FS9 scenery. I have the following scenery add-ons and I'm not satisfied with the way my ground scenery looks like. See Pic

-FS Genesis + Landclass
-FScene all seasons
-GE PRO
-UT USA
-UT EUROPE
Thanks Don

Don,
A bunch of those add ons (GE Pro, FScene, UT, etc.) are intended to replace ground textures. Having tham ALL installed likely is causing some conflicts... and likely the last one installed are the textures you are seeing. The rest are mostly or completely overwritten.
best,

You know I'm learning this scenery thing and I'm not up to speed yet, I've been searching the varies forums and all on this subject to find out what one software differs from the other, like FScene & GEPRO, or what makes a good combo to enhance my scenery? May I ask, what scenery add-ons are you running?

There is something about your screenshot that makes me think this may be more of a settings issue than a texture issue. Is your global max texture size in your FS settings set to the max?

No it's at custom and I have all sliders at max except water texture.

A couple of ideas to try:
Try lowering the sight distance to 60nm, drop the Land detail slider to 'Land Only' and raise the water slider to Max, and reduce the cloud coverage distance to Medium or High.
Lastly, un-check the sun glare & lens flare.
It may sound strange to lower the sight distance, but when in real life flying will you ever be able to see 120nm?

FScene is textures. GE Pro is textures. Use one or the other. It is possible there is some conflict. I used FScene before GE Pro came out. Removed it when I put in GE Pro....because GE Pro is going to overwrite most if not all of the FScene stuff anyway.
I'd opt for GE Pro because of the "matching to weather" and other features it has.
