Hi,
I saw this video on the tube. Somehow it seems that he got a system so when he right klick he gets a chart to choose inflight announcement from. Like saftey demonstration etc. It would be great to have this feature for maximal realism

It's on AVSIM. I use it too, I just wish it was automated.

Hello
You want this.Autoenvironmentv1 by Martyn Becker(freeware. available from the FS9 Gauges section at AVSIM)This will give cabin announcements (lots of other stuff to ie wingtip vortices,autoland gauge,3d condensation trails etc)you can pick and choose what parts to install.
The good news is that all the cabin announcements (also co pilot as well)are automatic at certain phases of your flt from taxi to landing.You don't have to push a button on a panel which is not very satisfying IMHO.
You will have to have some knowledge of gauge installing and Panel CFg editing,but if you take your time its pretty straightforward to do.I have it installed in all my passenger jets and it just gives that little extra touch of reality to your flights.
cheers Andy

That link is to the free site. You don't have to log in to download any files.

Evening all.

John, you're too kind.

There's no visual indication; you know it's working by the fact that you hear background ambience when your plane loads. Don't switch the landing lights on until just before you taxi into position for takeoff. You just need to make sure that the 'Autocabin' subfolder as a whole goes in the main Sound folder, the CAB file and the dsd_xml_autocabin.gau (this is important) goes in the FS 'Gauges' folder. Copy and paste the control lines from the manual into the panel.cfg.

It's important that the dsd_xml_autocabin.gau gauge goes into the Gauges folder as this allows the vocal commands to work from XML gauges. The file is incorrectly called dsd_xml_cabinsound.gau once in the manual: apologies.

Spooky.

Love the Auto-Cabin program !!

Just a brief question:  You say in the manual and I quote:

"A gauge variant is included in the CAB file for the Autocabin gauge, named Autocabin_ba, which changes the music playing during taxi to Delibes

Hi David.

Just replace the control line

gaugeXX=AutoEnv_mb!Autocabin,  0,0

with

gaugeXX=AutoEnv_mb!Autocabin_ba,  0,0

and you're all set.
