Sometimes I try to start the ac engine and it will start winding up but then fail.  I keep pressing cntrl+E but it keeps failing.

I have to change to a different aircraft like the cessna and then it works.  Anyone have this problem? It used to happen on older FS versions too.  For me it usually happens with jets.  Just wondering what causes it.

I was under the assumption that hitting cnt+e turned on all of that, like an autostart.  On the default 737, I wasn't aware of controls allowing the more detailed start you mention.

Yeah trying to start the F-16D now hitting ctl+E, nothing happening.

Have you read the "Aircraft Owners' Manual" for each Aircraft, regarding pre-checks, start up, flying, and and shut down?

I think this has something to do with your user-saved default flight.

I would change back to the FS9 default flight and see if this issue persists.

You can do this with a simple edit of your FS9.cfg.

Open it with Notepad and find the line "situation=", without the quotation marks.

Delete everything after the = sign on that line, save your changes and test.
