Eliminating tower view

I'm not sure if I've seen this addressed here before. When switching views, many times the aircraft begins skipping off of the ground when reaching the spot view. From what I've been told in the past, and noticed myself, the problem seems to be with the tower view being far away from the aircrafts current location. My question is, can the tower view be eliminated from the views when you push S or the joystick button? That would seem to solve the problem with the skipping.

Don't know of anyway to eliminate Tower View. You can however stay away from the view by using Shift+S to cycle backwards, therefore never going thru the tower view.

You can do this with a gauge.
Rather than regurgitate the complete process, I will point you to -

Reading that other thread, I don't think that will do what I'm looking for. That gauge just pushes S twice, which will still cycle past the tower view, causing the hopping. Am I the only one with this issue, maybe there is another fix?

Is there a way to change the tower views distance, either globally, or per plane, and where is the variables for this view located?
I have this same issue occasionally as well. :-/

I avoid the tower view altogether by using the FlyBy module in the dowloads section (
http://www.simviation.com/simviation/st ... 201&page=6, sixth down), which replaces the default tower view with a customizable fly-by view.
