Hi and welcome to SimV.

Unfortunately this is not something that I can help you with, but I would expect that someone here will eventually help you figure this out.

You might want to append your question with a lot of the specs on your hardware and on the exact setup you are running in the sim. For example you mention activesky......which version?  What other stuff besides that is installed?  What is your video card?  What's the machine?  And so on.  The more info people have the more likely they will be able to help.

I suffer a similar effect.

In my case it is due to a line of of "Dead Pixels" across the top of my LCD Monitor which appear as a thin white line in certain views, depending upon the background colour and contrast.
Apart from changing my Monitor, there is nothing that can be done about the problem.

microlight.   As mentioned in my original post, I have taken pictures but they do not show when viewed later.  This line is very very thin but after a while it becomes annoying.

Good idea to try a different monitor. I don't use any add-on clouds or water, so I can't speak to any problems you might have with them. I don't know if it would make a difference, but I assume you will use the same type of monitor (LCD or CRT) for the test as you are using when the problem presents itself? Let us know how it progresses...

Unfortunately I will not be able to do a test on another monitor soon as my other monitor only has an analogue connection, whereas my video card is only digital.

I did a dead pixel test earlier, which did not show any dead pixels, I am not sure how reliable this test was, but I have provided a link if anyone wants to comment.

Update:      As I am unable to get hold of another monitor for sometime with the digital connections, I decided to use a thin black marker pen and run it across the top of my monitor, no more white line. 

Frustration eased.

An analog solution in a digital age. Being an old printing press operator, I say: "If it works, do it..."

That solution should win an Award - for being creative if nothing else!!   :D
