Actual photo that I took with my digital camera: Cannon Powershot A630
added the words in MSPaint. Yeah yeah, i know, not a good photoediting software.... but its my picture and what i wanted to use as my dglsplash

you can make a very basic splashscreen if you know how to take a screenshot.
my way = pick the plane, weather, location yada yada and go fly. once i see something that i want to take a pic of...
PRESS the Prnt Scrn / SysRq key (this captures what is being shown on the screen).
Pause FS, and minimize it.
Open MSPAINT and hit EDIT > PASTE.
Save AS = dglsplash (type=.jpeg)
then just simply go to FS9/UIRES and look for the dglsplash file. rename this to dglsplash.bak
and put your NEWLY made dglsplash in its place. (do NOT delete your original picture as you might want it back one day)
restart FS9 and you will now see your new splashscreen. (this will also work if you name a picture of your kids, family, whatever picture as dglsplash and put it in FS9/UIRES folder)
