I ran a search and checked the tutorials but did not find anything. Can someone tell me how to do a second install of FS9? Thanks.

I saw a thread a while back where someone was talking about installing FS9 again, not re-installing, but putting it on the same hard drive a second time, ending up with two. I just want to know how. I think it would be eaiser than re-installing or trying to manually uninstall Silver Wings. With a second, separate install, I can just move or copy all my aircraft and some scenery. Then I can install VOZ.
Sorry if I was confusing Paul. I did not really know how else to say it. :-/
I'm pretty sure that all you need to do is rename your existing install, something like fs9old or whatever you like. then put in disk one and it should start the install process........BUT I've not done this with FS. I have with other sims and it worked fine. Hopefully someone else will step up and confirm that this works correctly with FS9.
I remember ShaneG talking about his multiple installs, he has done era specific installs.......if he doesnt see this thread and offer some direction, I'm sure you could PM him with a link to this thread to ask for some help.
Rename your FS9 folder to something else, also name the FS9.cfg & FS9.exe that, and it will recognize it, allowing you to not have to rename anything after.
Then just pop in your FS9 disc one and install as you normally would. You can do this as many times as you have available hard drive space.
The same works for FSX.
I have 3 copies of FS9 and two copies of FSX on my Hard drive at the moment.
