Hi!

I'm wondering is there any major difference between 70m Global Terrain Mesh for The Whole World by Stephen Rothlisberger and FS Global 2008 which is payware? Ok, first is free I got that.

Which product do you recommend? (I don't care if it's payware, if there's a good product I have no problem paying for it)

I'm using FS2004.

Are there any major problems with one or the other concerning elevations?

....in the olden days, long, long ago, I used to laboriously download Stephen Rothlisberger's individual Mesh files, (bless him!), via dial-up Internet, for our Multiplayer flights over selected areas... :'(....

I got fed up with all that constant fiddling around, so I purchased FS Global SE*, which does it all in one go, and covers the whole World (when selected).

I still use it, to this very day, occasionally adding bits of "Local" mesh in certain areas, when useful.... :)...!

(I also added VOZ**, for the colourful textures and beautiful Koorby buildings, replacing default)..;)...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Nav....FS Global SE...VOZ 1.2...and a fascinating Sim World!

Fozzer,

I'm looking to buy a mesh product also.

Any advice on how it may work with ultimate terrain and ground environment?

I use FSGlobal 2008 for my mesh around the entire world and also use all the UT products and GEPro. There's no interference and I highly recommend it ;)

So they are both good? I guess the only difference is that one you have to download yourself and the other you get on DVDs and you also get a FSX version.

Hello Tomaz...

There are loads of different scenery meshes out there.

I found that I needed to stick to just one of them, for simplicity, so I picked Just Flight's  FS Global SE (for FS 2004).

It was handy buying the CD version, saving a MASSIVE download, and also having the CD's for back-up... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

..smaller, download add-ons, can be included later is required.

Have fun!

Paul...in 16 denier Mesh Tights... ;)... ;D... ;D... ;D...!
