Airport lighting

Don't suppose there's any method of changing airport lighting intensities, specifically sequence flashers and lead-in lights, other than the FS9.cfg.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to change the intensity in the sim (click the mic 3, 5 or 7 times) but you can change the lighting on individual airports outside of the sim itself, by downloading AFCAD.  Open up the airport you want, double-click on the runways and you'll find the tab for changing lighting.

Wouldn't it be great if you could do it from the plane.

There is a setting in the fs9.cfg file (I think) ....something like runway_lights_scalar or something like that.  You can change it and make them bigger or smaller.  But it affects ALL of the airports in the sim.

See the scenery design SDk for info on the internal things you can do in the sim.

Make a backup first.

That's what I did - modified my FS9.cfg to make the airport lighting less bright and it's nice for night VFR but when I was looking for the lights at minimums they weren't nearly bright enough.
