to my untrained mind..... not much, maybe a little on the resolution of the scenery, but thats about it.    the squares that the scenery is drawing gets a little smaller in size so that the processor doesnt have to draw as many at 1 time.  a few houses never got built, and a few million trees just got cut down (whoops, theres goes the Virtual economy and the Virtual wildlife and the start of 'FSGlobal' Warming.. lol)

In all seriousness,
I don;t have a clue exactly what that means changing that setting.  My guess is that the above suggestion is along the right track.  I think it has to do with the quality of the textures displayed on the mesh.

I think most of us experience the "Stutters", especially during the "Turn" when the poor old Graphics Card, and Screen, has to desperately juggle around the zillions of pixels, in both the

If you are on short final , and on one side of you is a lot of detailed Scenery being displayed which you are looking at, the System will struggle to display it...

...on the other side with very little detail, you wont have a problem when you look at it.

Complex scenery being displayed on your monitor will always drag the response of your display down!

I make the choice...fly into complex Airports and accept the lag...

...or go and fly somewhere else...;)...!

I installed a lot of complex add-on scenery at Santa Barbara and Paso Robles which reduces my Frame rate almost to a crawl as I approach....but I put up with it for the sake of the nice scenery!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004.... ;)...!

P.S....If your Frame rate is set to "Unlimited", lock it a t 20/25 FPS Max....and see what happens...;)...!
For Multiplayer it has to be locked at 20 FPS for smooth flights for all!...;)...!
