Afterburners

There are a couple of aircraft I fly in this that have afterburners that engage with the lights button. Others, that activate with an increase in throttle. How can I make the latter happen in some aircraft? Specifically, I want to do this with the F-102A.

This is usually an xml gauge that is controlling things. This is how I did what you want to do. Download DSB Design's Typhoon from here and open the folder called " gauges". Inside that you'll see a folder called "dsbxml". Move that WHOLE folder (the one named "dsbxml") into you FS9 gauges folder. This folder has the gauge that will be controlling the afterburner effects on the models you want to add the automatic burner control to.

Next open the panel.cfg of the Typhoon and look for the following (near the bottom):

[Vcockpit01]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=256,256
visible=0
pixel_size=256,256
texture=$hud

[glow=yellow,2,300]gauge00=DSBXML!DSBAburner,

if you would like some NICE afterburner effects (lights) please pm me.  one of my good friends designed a set and they are FREEWARE for download, but I have made a simple change to them to make them a bit more realistic than he made.
