Landing on USS Nimitz crashes my FS9

Postby HSUred » Fri Apr 10, 2009 1:52 am

Anyone else experience this problem? I tried using the rcbco-20 program for catatpult shots and arrestor gear landings. The cat shots work fine but everytime I land on a carrier the FS9 program immediately crashes.

I posted this a couple months ago with no response so I thought I'd give it another try. Appreciate any advice. :)

Hmmm I don't know if this is the solution, try to turn the collision off on the Sim. See if that works.

It might help if you posted some specs about your current computer setup.  Especially the model & make of your video card.

Might try to run through the rcbco-20 installation again. Sounds like the sound files might not all be there or might be installed wrong. I've had that be the reason behind a CTD on my system before.

Thanks for the advice guys; I will try some of these things this weekend I hope.

As for my specs I am running Windows XP with a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200, AGP 8X graphics card...if that's any help coming from me and my limited understanding of computer specs. At least that's what it says on the little sticker on my computer. :)

where did you find your Nimitz?? here? Surclaro? Avsim? ??????? link would be nice so that someone might be able to download it and try it out so that maybe we can recreate the same situation.

Got it working. Thanks!

I ran the installation again like Groundbound1 suggested and that did the trick. Just one of those "why didn't I think of that" moments. :)
