by actually firing up FS9 and taking a short (15 minute) flight between KILM (Wilmington, NC USA) and KOAJ (Jacksonville, NC USA) in the Lionheart Bellanca Viking ...  (I would have used my own, but - ahem- mine was getting overhauled)....

I'd forgotten just how nice taking a spin just for fun from point A to point B could be....

No fancy scenery added, etc etc...  just chasing the GPS to stay in reasonable course.

I should do that more often ... in FS-X even!

I do it every day...

Just pottering about in my little Cessna 150, on warm Summer days, exploring the scenery and popping into little grass Airstrips on the way, to meet (imaginary) friends..;)...!

I dial up ATC now and again, keeping an eye on my Map, and have a chat with them, and in return they help me on my way... :)...!

All very peaceful and relaxing...and a chance to learn all about the local area... 8-)...!

...all for 50 Pence in the Electric Meter!... :)...!

How do I add a landclass? What is a landclass for that matter? My scenery or mesh or whatever you call it is from abacus and FSGenesis, if that means anything...

That's the part of the country Compression time was made for  ;D. Even with UT, the prairies are a chore to fly over. I guess you could barnstorm from farm to farm.

I always try to avoid flying excursions eastwards over North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, 'cos I know the journey towards the Atlantic Ocean is going the be the most boring, flat, unexciting flight in the history of boring, flat, unexciting flights!... :'(...!

Just take a peek at this Relief Map and you will see what I mean...>>>

I tend to hug the Western States and Pacific Coastal Regions for interesting scenery... :-*...!
