Problems with the views.....

Postby tcco94 » Thu Apr 09, 2009 10:43 pm

Okay well I just got this so I dont know if there is an update.

I assigned my joystickt today although thats not when the problem happened but when I click to switch the view it wont switch but will play the sound like if its cockpit then its on the spot view so I right click to change and its still in spot view but says its cockpit view. So I click tower view and it goes to cockpit?

This problem is causing everything to be screwed up so I cant even takeoff. Also I cant fly at all. The sound gets louder as I would be taking off but the plane wont move because its all screwed up from the views.

Any help thanks  :(

Already having problems after my switch from FSX and these are worse. :-[

This is very odd. I don't recall a problem with changing views in any of the MS sims. Press the S key to cycle the views.

I assigned my joystickt today although thats not when the problem happened but

Which joystick are you using? Not sure why you had to assign it. Most joystick functions should be assigned by default.

when I click to switch the view it wont switch but will play the sound like if its cockpit then its on the spot view so I right click to change and its still in spot view but says its cockpit view. So I click tower view and it goes to cockpit?

Which sound are you referring to? Make sure you don't have more than one window open by mistake.

This problem is causing everything to be screwed up so I cant even takeoff. Also I cant fly at all. The sound gets louder as I would be taking off but the plane wont move because its all screwed up from the views.

The views shouldn't affect whether an aircraft can take off. The parking brake is applied by default in FS9. Release it by pressing the [.] key.

Not sure what you've done there. Before attempting to uninstall FS9 try deleting fs9.cfg. That should give you a fresh start.

Make sure you delete fs9.cfg first or it will use all your original settings.

Also check what version of FS9 you have as soon as it's reinstalled.

If it is already v9.1 you will NOT need the update I sent you. You can then drop in the new fs9.exe I sent. That ONLY works with v9.1

If it is 9.0 then run the update BEFORE you stick in the new .exe I sent.

I'm not sure if newer copies of FS9 are already updated out of the box or not. I got my copy in 2004 and had to download the update for it.

The updated I sent you came directly from M$'s site, so I know it's good. And as I said, I've been using that .exe since 2005, and have never had problems with it. ;)

I think I might know what the problem is.
Its when I dont have the game on full screen it wont let me change views. So I keep it on fullscreen now.  ;)
