Joining the 2004 squad!

Postby tcco94 » Tue Apr 07, 2009 1:27 am

Well I got FS9 for my birthday because my computer can't handle FSX. Although it should arrive tommrow by mail im not for sure ill be sticking with FS9 although I dont see how I coulden't I can barely fly on FSX with nothing. ;D

Hopefully I can get some online flights in with everybody. I wish I could'ove done that on FSX but I always see screenshots from online and it looks pretty fun.

Im just hoping I can have smooth settings and no yelling at my computer anymore. ;D 8-)

Well FSX was going good for awhile then it started to get worse and worse. Ive only been here for a year and the first few months I was only in FSX but now im everywhere. Decided to switch now because it stoped working around December or November. Never had the time to buy it, and now I got it. ;)

Hopefully it will arrive tommrow, ill get it downloaded then see what I can get. 8-)

Welcome to our problem-free, stutter-free FS 2004 World, tcco.... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

I always think it is a shame that so many NEW Simmers jump straight into FSX, expect Magic, and are disappointed when it doesn't happen!... :'(...!

A try-out of FS 2002 or FS 2004 may be the cure to their frustrating FSX hardware problems...;)...!

At least they will be able to get up into the air...install some fabulous scenery add-ons to almost match FSX, and join in the various Multiplayer activities with little or no problems... :-*...!

...and not spend so much time on the Forums, asking endless questions, and desperately trying to get their FSX Sim to perform in the way they want it to, with their present hardware...(which it wont!)...;)...!

Paul...FS '98, FS 2000, FS 2002, FS 2004...and FSX*... :)...!

* but it rarely gets used for every day flights of fancy!...;)..!

P.S. FS 2004 is available in all good Game shops for a bargain price...try it...you'll like it...trust me!...;)...!

If your pc is not up to par with FSX (none are really  ::) ) and you're only going with FSX for the graphics, I'd advise you go with FS9... it CAN look as good as FSX if you do it right

I use FSX, have suffered through the many hardships needed to make it work acceptably, but there are times... mostly while waiting on those looong loadtimes, when i miss the ease of FS9

but I like FSX for it's added functionality... the missions are great, there are some neat features like the tow plane (if only it would stay in a pattern  ::) ) and the new stuff from Acceleration... so I must suffer through it's heavyness to get my kicks  ;)

It's all about that deciding factor... and if graphics is the only reason, FS9 will not disappoint  :)

Cheers
