Historic Jetliners Group (HJG) has pleasure announcing its first website update for the 2009 year ...a flightline full of fabulous new freeware featuring classic/nostalgic B727-100 & B727-200 aircraft for FS2004/FSX.

New additions to HJG's existing classic B727-100 theme include textures for 5 historic liveries of the 1960's representing both of Australia's domestic service providers; The 2nd installment of colorful 1960's/1970's fleet liveries for a famous US airline; A selection of some 22 liveries representing US operators from the 1960's through 1990's era ...among which are included the earliest variation of Piedmont Airlines livery from 1967; The mega-rare Continental Airlines "Golden Jet" livery from 1967; The Alaska Airlines "Gold Nugget Jet" livery of the early 1970's; The Delta Air Lines "We The People" US bicentennial livery of 1976; And a lesser known freighter from the early 1990's... to name but a few. North America is also represented by the 1990's livery for a major tourist/charter operator from Canada.

And ... HJG's the classic B727-100 magic doesn't end there...

Also featured among new textures for these aircraft are 4 variations of 1960's/1970's era livery for a major South African airline; An Icelandic livery of the late 1960's. 2 variations

For those whom are wondering "what the hell happened here" .... and indeed "what the hell's the current status" of the HJG/ARNZ BAe 146-100/200 project" generally.

As you're all ware .... it was indeed HJG's intention/hope to be able offer these models last year.

Jon MURCHISON is in charge of this modeling project (it's not an HJG project .... meaning we host it, but, don't own it) .... and has done the best he can, but, almost immediately ran into compilation problems with the new models .... which have yet to be resolved.

For the moment HJG's left advisories as they were originally presented on the downloads page of its forum .... only in the hope that a resolution to Jon's difficulties might eventually be found .... and the new models eventually forthcoming.

However, HJG's not received any further word regarding the progress of this project .... so .... can only assume the worst .... that it might not see the light of day .... unless Jon's current compilation problems are eventually resolved, or, until such time as a new early model BAe 146 proposition is offered for HJG to consider hosting.

SORRY FOLKS

Thanks Mark.

I completely understand that HJG is not the hold up on this one.  And that as freeware....... anything that ever gets produced by anyone is a "labor of love" and a gift to all who eventually use it.

I'm just in a mode of "hope springs eternal" ...and watch for your "HJG news" postings hoping against hope that I'll see those lovely numbers somewhere on the page.   ;)

It is also unfortunate that Matthias has decided to stop work on his AMAZING panel for that series of plane.  That truly is / was a "type trainer".

I might have to switch to the 300 model.... that you already have on the HJG site.

best,

.....................john

Thanks for you understanding there John .... and also everone else whom appreciates HJG's position regarding the BAe 146-200/RJ75 project.

We've all done our best .... Jon (ARNZ) incluisive.

Regarding a future BAe 146-200/RJ75 prospect for FS .... it might pay to watch what's happening over at AFG (Allied Flight Group). A new BAe/ARJ project was recently announced on there news page .... and also on the CBFS forum too.

All hope isn't yet lost ! ;)
