I have the MI-24V.zip file by Tim Conrad and every time I try to load it in Create a flight I get "Flight Simulator has stopped working and must now close". Mind you I can look at it in the aircraft select menu with no problems. I am using Vista 32 so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. Any help would be much apprieciated.

Maybe make sure that you are running FS2004 in Vista in Administrator mode?  Just guessing.

I just downloade it (from Flightsim) and installed it - no problems.

What may be happening is related to the file named GaugeSound.dll which the author says should be placed in your Main FS2004 folder.

What he has failed to mention is that you most likely need to add the following to your FS9.cfg file:

[OLDMODULES]
GaugeSound.dll=1

You may already have a label named [OLDMODULES] - if so just add the GaugeSound.dll=1 line under it.

Adding that information simply tells FS that it alright to use this "old " module which FS thinks may be problematic.

Hope that solves your problem.
