(in flight) WORLD --> MAP ???

I am making a very easy flight around the South of england however i want to be able to see the map with out seeing my plane there, so's not to cheat on my flight??
can this be done? (take the plane out of map view?)

Keep it open on your Desktop, and press the "Windows" key when in flight to view the map on your Desktop...them click on the Sim in the Task bar to return to the Sim......!

Toggle in and out... ...!
