Help with lighting and sky (i think i did it)

Hi all,

I think i did something with FS9 :( i don't really want to reinstall so thought i'd ask you guys first.. some thing strange has happened to my sky / light textures they have what i can call (Photoshop CALLOUT) oily texture to them? any ideas how to get it back to normal?

I would say you changed something. The default textures are on the install CD'S I want to say disk 2 but not sure just use my computer to browse the game cab files on the disk once you find it unzip to a temp folder [glow=yellow,2,300]DO NOT UNZIP INTO FS[/glow]
Once you have it unziped just cut and paste it and overwrite.  8-)

Did you change your display resolution in your hardware settings? My setting is 1400x900x32; if you changed it to end in x16, your system will only render 256 colours (I think) instead of millions, which might account for it.

genius!!! yes was on 16 not sure how... have to go out for a while so just did a 20 second test but the day sky texture looked as good as before!

That was the first thing that sprang to mind...

Reminded me of my old computer's 8/16 bit color colour display...
