Raising eyepoint in default Lear and Caravan?

Postby Stewy44 » Sat Dec 13, 2008 2:37 am

Hi Guys,

Sorry, I did a search, but got a bit confused with the responses in the searched threads.

In my opinion, the default Lear and Caravan have the pilot's seat way too low, and it's hard to see the runway on approach or the taxyway when taxying...

Is there a way that I can 'raise' the eyepoint of the 2D cockpit so that I can see a little better over the dash?  Kind as if I was sitting on a phonebook while flying! :D

Thanks for yoour help guys
Cheers
Stew ;)

...mmm...well, rather than permanently trying to change this, I think the keyboard assignments are IMO a better option..........

Shift+Enter for UP.

Shift +Backspace for DOWN.

.........and a quick dab on Space bar to reset.

.....lots of combinations for all the different movements but gets a bit fiddly for me.

Glenn Copeland's Seat-Adjust gauge is a great little gizmo that can raise or lower the eye view by clicking it.   I've put it in lots of panels  ::)

You might also want to try F1View...a great little FREE modual from our friends at Flight 1.

Download here, 5th down from top

It's Shift+(Scroll Mousewhell) for "seat adjustment".

"Ladies and gentlemen, please place you seatbacks and tray table in the full upright position for descent!"
