Yesterday I added Taylor J-2 from Golden Age Simulations.

'Aircraft Initialization Failure.....' error means that the sim cannot find the aircraft for the default flight. In this case I suspect you saved a flight with the J-2 and designated it as your default flight'

Open the 'fs9.cfg' file and locate the 'SITUATION=....' line

[USERINTERFACE]
.........
SITUATION=C:\Documents and Settings\dave\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\3cu

Delete the path string so that it reads only 'SITUATION=' and save the file.

The sim should now start with the 'default' default flight, Cessna at Seattle.

Don't know why it couldn't find the J-2 in the first place, unless you removed something or changed the 'aircraft.cfg' file so it couldn't find the J-2.
