More troublesome .dll's...!

...its a funny old do...

..but for as long as I can remember, every time I Close Down, or Exit FS 2004 from within the program it always comes up with the Windows Error Report; "weather.dll"... >:(...!

The program then closes with the usual request to ask Bills advice....
...press No!...and the program will restart, UNLESS the restart box is UNTICKED first!

I only ever use the various Default "Weather" selections within the program, but I always get this annoying error report!

I have installed and re-installed FS 2004 many times in the past, and still the dreaded .dll error always pops up... :'(...!

..anyone else had it happen?... ::)...!

F....G-BPLF...FS 2004 .....and a wayward .dll... :o...!

Here it is if you need it. ;) The only one that ever messed with me was that fssound.dll. Finally got around to doing the cfg edit for it. [smiley=rolleyes.gif]

...I don't fink so , Micro...;)...

My Trusty AVG keeps a constant look-out for incoming "nasties" for me... :-*...!

This is a complete, (including Win XP SP2), brand new installation on a brand new Hard Drive!

Something queer with my Firefox Browser?
..(I'll re-install it again)..!

Virus?....Micro...having migrated away from your lovely Microlights, to those awful Commercial, Passenger Jet thingies, you persist in flying now, I would have thought that you were in the line for getting "nasties"...
...and serves you right!... [smiley=evil.gif]...!

F.... ;D... ;D... ;D...!

Mu-u-u-a-a-a-ahahahahhhh!

Those long, thin, elegant shapes are so durn pretty though! Much better to look at than those little stumpy things with ugly revolving pieces.  :o Sacrilege.

I've had three different FS9 installations now on three different machines, and never had this kind of issue (nor any kind of Firefox hangup either) so can't help, unfotunately. I did have a DLL blip a couple of years ago (can't remember which one now), but that was my own fault as I'd modified some texture BMPs and had saved them as the wrong DXT type. But you say this happens on a clean installation, with SP2 and no addons? I haven't gone to SP3 yet, in case it compromises something.

Maybe it's someone ... out there ... recommending that you fly the more elegent, faster, higher aircraft types!  ;D

The only issue I have with .dll is the FSound.dll also... But now I'm on my way to the .cfg file to fix it  ;D
