Need troubleshooting help - airline names lost?

Postby Staiduk » Sat Nov 01, 2008 2:08 am

'Lo! I recently installed an AI traffic pack - the Continental Airlines AI Traffic Pack vol2, to be precise.

It seemed to be playing havoc with the frame rates with my iFly 747 so I deleted the pack; using the uninstall icon in the start menu.

Now all my airline names - the selectable names in the Aircraft Selection screen - are missing.

Two questions: 1) Why? I reinstalled the pack to a discreet location and none of the files seems to have that particular file. Not that I can really identify the file, since I've no idea where it is in the sim. Which leads me into: 2) Where and what is the file that handles the airline names?

It's possible another air traffic pack was responsible for the deletion; I'd downloaded and deleted a couple of them but for the life of me I can't recall what the other one was. (shrug) I think I pooched me old sim - hopefully you guys can help me fix it. :)

Whoops - cancel my last; problem solved.
My Aircraft folder is such a jumble I'd no idea the Airlines.cfg file was even in there.
The culprit was the COA pack 1: it had the file in there and when it uninstalled, it took the .cfg file with it. Good to know for the future...
