I have noticed in Explore i have this aircraft and during the game i see plenty flying around. The same with the MD-80. Is there a way of flying these aircraft without having to download them?

Hi and welcome to SimV.

Those planes are specifically for AI use only.  They typically either have no panels or very rudimentary ones.  Which ther are some tricks to get AI planes flyable, you are far better off getting flyable models.  There are tons of them in the SimV libraries.

If your looking for a pretty fair Dash8 go here http://www.premaircraft.com/AC_MENU/index.html  be sure to get one of the newer ones with a VC, and there are a few others there worth checking out  ;) the new B1900 looks pretty darn good, to bad I allready payed for the PMDG  ::) (not that thats a complaint  ;D)
