I downloaded the Posky 737-900 from Project OpenSky to find out what is the difference between that and the 800. The annoying thing about this is that the 900 comes with no panel and they ask you to download the 737NG panel from Posky's site which I cannot find anywhere. So I download some freeware 737NG panel from site like this one and install it in the 900. When I tried to fly it manually, the plane just continues to pitch up like a fighter on a vertical climb even when there is no flaps and throttle N1 is just a mere 45% at 8000 ft. IAS is just 238 kts. I have to push the stick down hard to keep it level and then the plane rolls and banks too. When I tried to land the thing at the nearest airport, the plane crash even when the approach speed is just 145 knts with 30 flaps descend speed is just 800 ft/min. I have not crashed landed a Boeing for a long time. Anybody has any clue what is happening?

Posky said that the plane's flight dynamics is very close to the real thing and have flown by real pilots. If that is how it really handles, I don't want to ever fly in one of these things in the real life.

Id suspect its somthing to do with the panel. Have you tried the panel from the other posky 737?

Although i havent tried it with posky aircraft (if it doesnt work or show up, with there stuff, i tend to forget it or bin it unless i really am in the mood to faff with files!) ive used panels from one plane and put them with another with some odd results. Although i apreciate in most cases it works fine.

No I have not tried the Posky panel as I can't find where to download it in their site. If U have the link, I'm happy to try it out 8-)

POSKY doesn't have the panel nor to they support it any more due to copyright issues that came up. but you can still find it in a download on AVSIM http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004acrp&DLID=103367

the panel may be the one to blame here.

I have yet to find a POSKY that doesn't stall or requires 15,000 ft of runway on takeoff. I love their paints, but I hate their flight dynamics.

i have had no problems with poskey 757 300 757 200 or 777..if it is loaded right configured for T/O or landing..  for me anyways seems to work fine..and the approach numbers used with there planes are the same numbers boeing published...[quote][quote]

Your link doesn't work. In any case, Posky does have panels available. Just go to the 747 and you can see that they do include a panel package. I have downloaded a rather good panel from flightsim but the eicas doesn't show up cause the panel package has the eicas.gau file missing. Anybody has any idea where to download such guage. I am replacing the display with the learjet eicas guage but it doesn't really belong to a 737 cause the flaps setting indicated is all wrong and then the N1 is off.

BTW I'm just wondering which feeware flight dynamics best represents the real thing. Posky said that their flight dynamics mimic 95% of the real thing. I have heard others saying that fs9 default planes FD is quite good and close to the real thing but the addons are really way off. So any real pilot out there have any comments?

Don't tell me about PMDG and PSS cause they are payware 8-)

Nop, I have not fly the 737 experience before but will try it. Thx for the tip. I'll probably ditch the Posky and try your recommendation.

I think I might write to Cathay Pacific to see if they let me fly their level D sim they use to train their pilots. That would be the real thing!!! Ha Ha

I may not have been around when they were building the 737 series, but I do know that they have a handful of REAL pilots there at the forums that give input and therefore make the FDE better. A LOT of people have complained about the sluggish roll rates and if you look at the knowledge base there is even an article explaining why this is so. When pilots fly a plane they do not jam the stick/yoke to the sides or forwards and backwards. Exercise muscular restraint when using the joy stick. Move it like there is 50 pounds of pressure pushing the opposite direction that you want it to go. Make smooth adjustments and movements and you should be set. The real test is, if you can make the IGS 13 approach at Kai Tak then its good. All the aircraft that POSKY produces can do that, I know, I've tried 8-)

The main plane that people complain about is the 767 series that POSKY put out. They complain that the roll rate is ridiculously slow. IT'S NOT! Fly it like a real plane and you will see what I mean. sloooowly move the stick to the side, give it a nice smooth roll.

Edit 1: Also if you want a good freeware panel look into the PS Panels 737 2D cockpit. It used to be payware but it is now freeware.

Edit 2: Also that "panel package" for the 747-400 is for the auto brake gauge to make the auto brakes work with more than 3 contact points (the 747 v4 has 5) and the utility panel which really has nothing to do with flying the plane. all that does is allows you to see the ground service units (stair truck, container loaders, tail stand (747F)) also it allows you to control weather or not to have the leading edge flaps retract when you hit the reversers.
