flight planning waypoints

Postby coreservers » Wed Aug 20, 2008 6:21 am

A difference I've spotted since I upgraded from fsx to fs9  ::) :P ;D, is when planning a flight. In fsx you can just drag and drop the line in flight planner and it creates a waypoint, but in fs9 you seemigly have to drag it onto a beacon, ot suchlike to create the waypoint. is there a way to do it in fs9.

No way to select a random waypoint in FS9 Flight Planner. You can with a couple of payware addons....FS Navigator or Flight Sim Commander, I believe. (you can download a 20 session evaluation of FSNavigator here)

If you still have FSX installed there is a freeware utility that will convert FSX .pln files to FS9.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

The reason why I purchased FS Navigator, many, many Moons ago.

...not available for FSX.... one of the many reasons why I don't use FSX!...;)!

Without it for my daily Flight Planning, I would have abandoned MS Flight Sims long ago!...;)...!

...you can select any Waypoint you wish, along your route...;)...!

I use Flight Sim Commander.  Find that it is an excellent program for more realistic flight planning.  Lots of features.

best,
